Mrs. Chaya Faigie Bar

Camp Director

Mrs. Chaya Faigie Bar has over 25 years of chinuch and camp experience in Canada, America, and England. She was a principal in several schools and the program director of multiple camps. Mrs. Bar is currently the director of Teleteen, which receives over 6000 calls daily and the English Principal of Chemdas Bais Yaakov. Her positive energy and creative flair are the hallmark of her successful programs. As a granddaughter of the legendary Mike Tress ZT”L – founder of Camp Bnos and Camp Agudah – Mrs. Bar believes that camp is a place where girls come alive, where dreams come true… and where girls can truly have a summer for GROWTH.

Mrs. Miriam Seitler has over 25 years experience working at the helm of various initativies and businesses. From gown gemachs to Yom Tov food distributions to school fundraisers and most recently setting up and running the administrative aspect of Camp LMP.

Mrs. Tsippy Boehm is a kallah teacher, doula and a Hatzalah dispatcher in Baltimore, MD. With years of camp experience in various leadership roles, Mrs. Boehm has developed a deep understanding of the unique needs of camp life and is passionate about fostering a positive and supportive environment for the staff.

Mrs. Ahuva Ziemba

Mrs. Ahuva Ziemba is the founding assistant principal of Chein Bais Yaakov, Lakewood NJ. Prior to that, Morah Ziemba taught limudei kodesh to elementary school girls for close to twenty years. Mrs. Ziemba spent many summers in camp and has seen the impact that a good camp program has on children. Her warmth, positivity, and sensitivity make her a beloved camp mother.

Mrs. Leah Handelsman is the beloved 10th grade Chumash teacher and Mechaneches at Shiras Devora High School. Her illustrious chinuch career includes teaching at Bnos Yaakov of Brooklyn and the Bais Yaakov Intensive Seminary. Mrs. Handelsman combines her love of high school girls with her passion for growth-oriented learning. She was molded by the Camp Bnos and Camp Tubby models of fun and depth. She emulates her mother – Rebbetzin Chaya Zimmerman ע״ה – who was the revered Mechaneches in Camp Bnos for many years.

Day Camp

Mrs. Tzivia Karp is originally from Detroit and now lives in Lakewood. She was previously the head counselor in several summer camps. She has directed several workshops, such as crafts, mosaics, and sports, but her favorite is culinary creations where she creates beautiful and delicious products. Mrs. Karp brings her creativity, enthusiasm and expertise to Camp Tal.

Mrs. P’nina Weber hails from Los Angeles, Boro Park & most recently Lakewood. She has many years of experience in the creative field, running her business, school functions and was most recently the beloved workshop director of Camp LMP.

Mrs. Mirel Schwinder is the director of Harmony Studio, which produces songs for many schools, camps and organizations. She trains girls in proper voice techniques and how to best utilize their musical talents.

Mrs. Hadassah Seitler is a beloved member of the Detroit community. As part of the Butrimovitz family, which is deeply involved in chinuch, she was a star Morah for many years. Hadassah brings her warm, nurturing nature to Camp Tal to ensure that each girl blossoms.

Mrs. Shoshana Trenk has been teaching for more than 3 decades. She is currently a mechaneches & teacher at Bais Shaindel High School and Migdal Seminary. Her range of experience includes various camp shiur jobs for all ages. Her approach is to stimulate the mind and heart with a love for Yiddishkeit. Coming from a family of dedicated mechanchos and a daughter-in-law of the unforgettable Harav Dovid Trenk זצ”ל, she believes in every student and brings them to excellence.

Mrs. Zissi Ciner brings experience in drama, dance, and singing, inspired by a passion for using creative talents in meaningful ways. She views plays as a unique opportunity to convey important messages, foster achdus, and bring out the strengths of each camper. As play director at Camp Tal, Mrs. Ciner is eager to create a supportive and uplifting environment where every camper can discover their unique talents and contribute to a production filled with heart and creativity. She is committed to making this year’s play an unforgettable highlight of the summer, showcasing the incredible potential of each camper while fostering teamwork, self-expression, and joy.

Rabbi & Mrs. Lobel have been running Camp Ton of Fun for nearly 20 years. During the school year, Rabbi Yehoshua Lobel is a popular Primary Rebbe at Yeshiva Tiferes Torah (YTT) and Mrs. Sara Lobel is a beloved kindergarten Morah. The Lobels bring warmth, positivity & professionalism to our Camp Tal day camp, to ensure each child shines.

Mrs. Dusie Krischer is originally from Miami. She headed Bnos and worked as a teacher, production director, and Head of Extracurricular at Bais Yaakov of Miami. She now lives and teaches High School girls in Passaic. Growing up in the Wechsler home, where her parents are both renowned mechanchim and camp directors, camping is in her blood. Mrs. Krischer believes in the importance of a "geshmake" summer experience, and is excited to share that passion with the Camp Tal girls.

Mrs. Menucha Bornstein has 20 years experience as a teacher and Morah in TAG in Far Rockaway. She has worked in camps for nearly 2 decades and brings a unique art experience to the campers. Mrs. Bornstein believes every person can shine through different art mediums and she loves helping women and girls discover their creative side. She also enjoys running out-of-the-box workshops where campers discover their inherent artistic abilities while creating a fun, positive experience for all.

Mrs. Pnina Gartenhaus is originally from Baltimore, where she directed the chessed committee. She currently lives in Lakewood and has been a popular Morah for over 20 years. She also does party planning! Pnina’s magnetic and positive personality endears her to all. She combines her organizational skills and creative flare to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly with an array of delicious food.

Mrs. Malka Degani has been a certified lifeguard since her teenage years, working in both camps and bungalow colonies. During the year, she is a special educator for remedial in Monsey, also serving as a consultant and workshop presenter. Mrs. Degani loves the pool and turns it into an oasis of activity and relaxation! She is equipped with the experience and leadership qualities to run a safe, secure, and spectacular season of swimming at Camp Tal.

Mrs. Shevy Kipper is originally from Lakewood and currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona. Prior to their recent move to Phoenix, she and her family lived in Denver for 6 years where she was involved in various kiruv initiatives including giving Shiurim, running learning groups, and teaching teenagers at the community kiruv Sunday school. Mrs. Kipper has been a star morah for several years, and is currently the beloved 7th grade Morah at Torah Day School of Phoenix. Mrs. Kipper also holds a masters in social work which she utilized in Lakewood prior to moving out of town. Her dynamic, energetic personality, coupled with her warmth and passion makes her an ideal person to lead the TC campers. She is excited to create an epic TC program that will keep the girls on the edge of their seats and experience the summer of a lifetime!

Mrs. Rus Malka Ifrah, FNP, joins us as our camp’s Nurse Practitioner, bringing over 14 years of nursing experience, including 7 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner. With experience as a camp nurse in sleep-away camps, she is well-versed in addressing the unique healthcare needs of campers and staff in this environment. Mrs. Ifrah is dedicated to providing quality care and ensuring the health and well-being of everyone at camp.

Mrs. Yehudis Bamberger is originally from Monsey. As the daughter of Rabbi Chaim Shimon Neuberger – director of Torah Umesorah – she is familiar with running large organizations. Mrs. Bamberger was the head counselor of a teen camp for several years and the assistant technical director of an overnight camp. She also taught in Bnos Devorah of Lakewood. Mrs. Bamberger combines her calm personality with her superb organizational skills to confidentially arrange all the technical aspects of camp.

Mrs. Leah Pollak brings years of experience in camp leadership and successful programming. From her early years growing up as a staff kid through various head staff positions, she never outgrew camp! As the beloved 8th grade Morah in Bnos Devorah of Lakewood, Mrs. Pollak has a keen understanding of, and a unique ability to connect with today's Bais Yaakov teenager. Mrs. Pollak is excited to utilize her creativity and talents to give every camper a summer to treasure.

Mrs. Raizy Pollak

Mrs. Raizy Pollak has led both production and shiur, bringing creativity and depth to every role she takes on in camp. She has taught in high school, and directs the Oros Bais Yaakov play with her leadership and artistic vision. As a professional makeup artist, Raizy's true strength goes beyond talent- she has a unique ability to see the beauty in each girl and enables them to bring out their best self. With her passion for camp and her gift for building others, we are looking forward to the incredible energy and dimension she'll bring to camp!

Night Activity and CIT/Glamping Director

Camp Tal has a firm technology policy to maintain a healthy, growing environment. Campers are not permitted to have any electronic devices, including phones, 24/6 and MP3 players. Only new SD’s will be allowed. Staff in Grades 11th and 12th grade can bring a kosher phone approved by TAG. It will be collected upon arrival and given during phone times. Full details on the technology policy are included in the camper handbook.

What is the Technology Policy?

Camp Tal is for the wholesome, genuine Bais Yaakov girl. Camp Tal combines the sophistication of ‘in-town’ with the warmth of ‘out-of-town’.

Who is the Camp Rov?

Camp Tal is open for full summer applicants. We do not recommend TC’s coming for full summer.

Can I Come a Full Summer?

Camp Tal is located on beautiful campgrounds in Greenviille, NY which includes air conditioned bunk houses, heated pool, indoor gyms, basketball and volleyball courts, hiking trails, large air-conditioned dining room and shul among many other amenities.

Camp Tal Campus.

Camp Tal provides everything that a camper could need, including delicious food and a canteen! It is unnecessary to send packages, which creates competitive pressure. If an important item is left at home, it can be sent through the camp mother.

Can We Send Packages?

There will be a calling schedule for each bunk, which will be sent to the parents. We provide the girls with phones. Of course, you can always send emails and letters!

How Can I
Contact My
Daughter?

We appreciate our parents and want to make it easier for you! So, we spared you the drive up to the mountains on visiting day. Additionally, Camp Tal offers an immersive 4-week experience, and we don’t want to interrupt the excitement. Campers will have ample opportunity to call home and communicate!

We know each girl has unique talents and our goal is develop them this summer! The girls can choose their 2 favorites from many fabulous workshops! Some of the choices include:

We are already accepting applications for both campers and staff! You can apply online by clicking the link on our home page. We will be in touch with campers regarding acceptances in November and staff acceptances starting December. Please note that once you get accepted you have 48 hours to to cancel your slot. After that you will be charged the $1000 non-refundable deposit. Cancellations within the 48 hour period will be charged a $50 processing fee.

Camp Tal is a summer of GROWTH - on every level. We consider the ruchniyus of each girl to be of paramount importance. We designed an interactive shiur program that connects to the campers. Staff will be treated to weekly shiurim too! Every Shabbos is carefully planned around a pasuk in Tanach, with an array of workshops, speakers, and learning games. The programming on Rosh Chodesh & fast days are especially inspiring.

Glamping is a combination of "glamorous" and "camping". In other words…upscale camping! Camp Tal is groundbreaking in the frum camping world with this creative concept. The Glamping Program is in Camp Tal’s wooded areas and equipped with all basic necessities (tents, restrooms, etc). The select group of girls in the program will learn wilderness skills, survival techniques, team building, camping, and more with experienced staff members. The Glamping schedule will be intertwined with Camp Tal’s special activities, so they don’t miss exciting events. This trailblazing program is only open to girls entering 10th grade. Girls must apply separately for this exclusive program.
